Aloha!
One of the things I’m increasingly convinced of is the importance of older men intentionally investing in younger men. We need more than Sunday sermons. We need relationships where we can ask questions, talk honestly, open the Bible together, and learn from those a little further down the road.
That’s why we're starting a Men’s Mentoring.
My hope isn’t to create another church program, but to invest personally in a group of younger men who want to grow in their relationship with Jesus, develop godly character, and become the men God is calling them to be.
What We’ll Be Doing
Over the next several months, we’ll work our way through John MacArthur’s Twelve Ordinary Men, looking at the very ordinary men Jesus called to follow Him—and how He shaped their character, faith and lives.
We’ll meet every other Saturday morning at White Plains Beach. Each time we’ll focus on one of the disciples, open the Bible together, discuss the relevant chapter, and bring it into our own lives. This isn’t intended to feel like a classroom or another Bible study. The aim is mentoring, honest conversation, accountability and growth.
We’ll begin in September, take a break over the holidays, and pick things back up in January.
