Meet our Eldership Team headed up by our Pastor, Jamie. At Aloha Nani Church we believe that it is not culture that dictates what qualifies a leader, but the Holy Bible. The New Testament really talks of two types of leadership role within the local church; elders and deacons. When we say that we are an elder led church at ANC, it means that the elders are responsible for the spiritual oversight, shepherding and direction of the church family (Titus 1:5-9; 1 Tim. 3:1-7, 1 Peter 5:1-4).
Whilst the elders bear this God-given responsibility, the New Testament also includes deacons who effectively help lighten the load for the elders so that they can primarily focus on the above, but also so that their God given gifts are exercised, that the whole body might flourish, something that we are looking to encourage as we continue to grow.
This all said, at ANC we love to lead with accountability and transparency, recognising that we are not a business or organisation but a church Ohana. Part of this means that we want to communicate decisions and where we feel The Lord is directing us to the church, to whom, under God, we are accountable. Please do pray for your Elders!

Peter has been a Hawaiian by choice for almost 30 years. He loves the blended cultures and the warm spirit of Hawaii. He is looking forward to the day when all of us will be worshiping Christ together in heaven as multitudes from every nation. He loves his wife, Arlene of 42 years, their six children and 18 grand children. One of Peter's most loved Bible verses is “Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is...giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." Ephesians 5:17, 20
THE WIDER TEAM & OPPORTUNITIES
Welcome Team Leader
We pride ourselves in a warm aloha welcome! Visitors often remark the same and that's all headed up by the one and only Mrs Margaret. If you're considering visiting, make sure you say hi or to one of our team. We'd love to pass on a first timers gift, point you in the direction and answer any questions you may have.
Charcuterie's, Coffee, Cheesecake Factory and more. The Ladies have the most fun at Aloha Nani Church with regular Bible studies and social events! If you'd like to sign up and get involved, speak to Erin who will happily let you know what's going on in the life of the church for the ladies!
Mr Robert argues that it is in fact the men that have the most fun at Aloha Nani and claims he has the stats to back it up! From axe throwing, to board meetings (surfing) to breakfast BBQ meat fests, our church Ohana is the place for men to hang. Of course paramount to this all, is raising bold godly men who will love Christ and lead with integrity. Speak to Robert for more info.
When he's not at work or with his fam, you'll find servant hearted, gadget mad, jeep and raiders loving Mr Willie at the back of church leading the way and working hard by keeping everything together and running smoothly. Always after volunteers, so if you're tech minded or willing to be trained - let him know!
Working behind the scenes and keeping the finances ticking over and in great shape with our Treasurer, is Imelda. As a church we seek to operate with kingdom minded, full transparency involving our congregation along the way. We see all that we have as a gift from God as He moves His people to give. At Aloha Nani we prioritize loving God, loving His people and reaching the lost for Christ and this determines our vision for giving.

Heard the saying - the youth of today are our future? It's true! And at Aloha Nani we are all in with providing our children a place that is safe, fun, enjoyable and above all somewhere where they can grow in their faith and develop their God given gifts. It's also an opportunity for you to join our amazing team and use your God given leadership gifts! So don't be a spectator, be a participator and get involved - we love to see people flourish in their gifts at Aloha Nani
Keeping things asthetically sharp isn't the end all and be all, but here at Aloha Nani we don't want it to be a hindrance either. We recognize that graphic design, website and social media presents a huge opportunity to reach out. We believe everything should be done to the best of our ability and to the glory of God. Maybe that's something you're passionate about too and you have the gifting and tools to match? If so we need your help and would love to hear from you!
