ABOUT
Aloha Nani is a church where anyone can be transformed by the love of Jesus. We are a multicultural Christian congregation located near Honolulu, Hawaii.
WHAT WE VALUE
"the worth of something; importance
We are a church: a community of people God has choen and preserved for Himself, who love, follow, learn from, and worship God together. God has sent us to share His message of the "Beautiful Love" of Jesus. The Gospel, or the good news, is the message of the Bible that God is redeeming His fallen, sinful creation through the coming of His kingdom in the Person and work of Jesus Christ.

We believe that by bringing the good, beautiful, life-changing message of God's love to the people of Hawaii, we can effectively reach our culture, our country, and our world. Serving in Hawaii also provides us with a unique opportunity to love and serve the next generation of Hawaiians.

Simply put: we are a loving church that brings the loving message of a loving God to a lost world.

Someone once said, "If your church closed its doors, would the people in the community notice?" We are challenged by that question and it causes us to want to be active in our community through sharing hope who those who are in need of it.

WHAT WE BELIEVE
our foundational beliefs from the Bible
God the Father
We believe in one God, who is sovereign, eternal, and supreme. He is one, yet manifests Himself in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Deuteronomy 6:4; I Corinthians 8:6; I Timothy 1:17; I John 5:7
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the second Person of the Trinity and is God manifested in human form. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and whose purpose was to die on the cross as the substitutionary sacrifice for man’s sin. Luke 1:30-35; John 1:1-15; Philippians 2:5-8; Colossians 1:15
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and is fully God. He is a Person, whose ministry is to regenerate, sanctify, seal and fill all who have personally accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. The filling of the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the fruits of the Spirit found in Galatians 5:22-23. Genesis 1:2; John 3:5-6; Acts 1:5; Acts 5:1-11; Romans 8:16; I Corinthians 6:19-20; Ephesians 4:30
The Bible
We believe the Bible is inerrant, infallible, and inspired by God. It is God’s revealed will for our lives and is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice. II Timothy 3:15-17; I Peter 1:23-25; II Peter 1:19-21
Sin
We believe that every person is a sinner as a result from our sin nature received from our common ancestor, Adam. Because of our sin, we will face not only physical death, but also spiritual death (eternal separation from God). Man is therefore in and of himself without hope in need of a Savior (Jesus Christ). Genesis 1-3; Romans 5:12-21
Salvation
We believe salvation is a free gift from God and is available to anyone who will put his or her faith and trust in Jesus Christ as the only way to heaven. Every person is a sinner and the consequence for our sin is hell, but God, through His love and grace, sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die upon the cross to provide redemption for mankind. When one comes to realize that there is no salvation outside of Christ, and personally accepts what He (Christ) did for him on the cross, one receives salvation. Romans 6:23; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:8; II Corinthians 5:21; Acts 4:12; Romans 10:9-10
Eternal Security
We believe that once a person has accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, that they are kept by God’s power and cannot lose their salvation. This is not a license to sin, but a manifestation of God’s glorious grace to those who have trusted in Christ. John 3:15-16; John 10:27-30; Romans 6:1-2; Ephesians 4:30; Jude 24
Baptism
We believe that baptism is an act of obedience after a person has accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, and does not play a part in a person’s salvation. We believe baptism is by immersion. Baptism is a believer’s identification with Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. Romans 6:3-4; Ephesians 2:8-9; Acts 8:26-40
The Church
We believe the local church is comprised of those who have placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ and who have been baptized by immersion. The local church is God’s institution to carry out His work and is essential in the spiritual growth of a believer. The church serves the purpose of edification, teaching, worship and evangelism. We adhere to traditional baptistic theology, and therefore are a Baptist church. Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 2:41-43; I Corinthians 15:51-58; Ephesians 5:25-30 Hebrews 10:24-25
